Join us for another invigorating discussion with Amara Lynch and Steven Joiner. Amara Lynch is a doctoral student conducting research on anti-oppression parenting. In this conversation, Amara offers us a glimpse of her research with a group of parents trying to raise White sons in ways that disrupt patterns of oppression. It is a deeply personal project because Amara is one of those parents, herself. Steven Joiner, a White man and long time social justice activist, advocate, and educator, adds his own experience and wisdom to the conversation. This our second episode with Steven and Amara. You may want to check out their previous conversion on Managing Disappointment here. They will be returning a third installment once Amara finishes her graduate program in the fall. We hope you find as much value in the discussion as we did! As always, thanks for listening!
